 Integration - Gigabit & 10G Throughput Speeds

The iBoss Enterprise Web Filter offers Gigabit and 10G speeds for today's high performance networks. With advanced inline and tap/span load balanced configurations, the iBoss can take your network to the next level of redundancy and speed.

The iBoss is offered with copper and fiber interfaces (single mode and multi-mode) for compatibility with all network environments.

Stream Based Inline Filtering

The iBoss takes advantage of full stream based filtering avoiding the typical inline proxy configuration which typically lock-up in the most demanding environments. This allows the iBoss to focus on stream analysis and interception instead of generating additional web requests on behalf of network users like other filters. The iBoss is capable of 4 million+ concurrent streams which far outperforms other filtering appliances which are typically capable of only a few thousand streams.

Tap/Span Filtering

With full stream reassembly capabilities, the iBoss is able to filter to the upper layers on a SPAN or TAP configuration for out of line filtering. This flexibility allows for seamless integration into networks utilizing a TAP or SPAN configuration currently with little to no network topology change.

The iBoss uses the single TAP/SPAN port to perform both URL filtering and application filtering via a single interface. This offloads configurations using built-in Cisco® url-filter commands which require two interfaces to the router (one for URL filtering and the second for application layer filtering). In addition, the workload is reduced as the switch does not need to reassemble URL requests being handled by the iBoss already via its stream reassembly engine.
