The iBoss Enterprise Web Filter offers an optional physical bypass segment for inline deployments requiring the ability to remove the iBoss from the traffic stream during a power outage. The physical relay will automatically trigger on a power outage or can be enabled manually during firmware upgrades. This allows the iBoss the ability to perform hot firmware upgrades even when configured in an inline configuration.

Copper, Gigabit and 10G Bypass Segments

Bypass segments are available in gigabit copper, fiber and 10G interfaces to adapt to the most complex environments. All configuration parameters for the bypass segment are configured within the iBoss and the iBoss can be managed even when the iBoss is in a "bypass" mode via its management interface which is always connected to the network.
